Early Archaic
(ca. 8,000 to 6,ooo B.C.)
Early Arhaic sites are found on most types of terrain within the state and in larger numbers than Paleo. The climate has become warmer, similar to today. They were still a nomadic hunter-gatherer people,seasonally exploiting resources in their environment. An increase in type and variety of their tool kit, points were becoming notched and bifurcated. the Atl Atl (spear thrower)comes into use in this time period.
