         The  History of my collection

Picture
This collection goes back several thousands of years. It covers the time period from Paleoindian to historic times

I have been collecting artifacts for some 35+ years and have found many interesting pieces over the years.

My collection mainly comes from Delaware, Randolph, Henry and Madison Counties from either the White River or Mississinewa River Drainage.  Most of this area is in the Tipton Till Plain and is , for the most part, flat to slightly rolling

All of the artifacts on this web site are personsl finds, as is the rest of my collection.
I have been involved in several hobbies over the the years, but collecting artifacts has been the most rewarding and longest lasting.  The excitement of finding an artifact in the field has never diminished.
I have found a new hobby to go along with artifact hunting, it is relic hunting with a metal detector.  You can do both at the same time for double the enjoyment.  I've met some very nice and enjoyable people  since I became a member of a metal detecting club, friendly and ready to help a new member.
